| KPMA At the Legislature
On January 24, 2002, the KPMA co-hosted a Foot Screening with the Kentucky General Assembly Women's Caucus. The screening was held at the State Capitol Annex Building. Six DPMs participated in the screening, seeing over 85 patients in the two hour session, including many members of the General Assembly. KPMA wishes to thank APMA President Doug Sowell, DPM for participating, along with KPMA President Ches Nava, DPM, Matthew Connolly, DPM, Paul Krestik, DPM, Joseph Leone, and DPM, Paul Tipton, DPM. Our KPMA members were able to bring the message of podiatric medicine to a wide audience, including members of the press. The final outcome was a wave of goodwill toward podiatric medicine and the death of a bill that would have been harmful to the profession.
